K&N Air Filter Cleaning Kit

The K&N air filter cleaning and maintenance kit consists of one bottle of K&N air filter cleaner and a bottle of filter oil to re-apply filter oil. In normal conditions cleaning should be done every 80.000km, in heavy conditions (industrial use, desert raids, rallye driving) cleaning intervals should be shortened and visual checks should be made frequently.

Instructions:

• Spray K&N filter cleaner on cotton filter onto both sides and allow to soak for 10 minutes to loosen the dirt. Make sure cleaner does not dry.
• Rinse off cotton filter with cool no-pressure water from the clean side out to the dirty side until all traces of cleaner and dirt have been washed out. You might have to repeat the previous and this step.
• Shake water off and leave to dry naturally in the air. Don't oil filter before it is completely dry.
• Spray surface of each filter pleat with K&N filter oil from a distance of about 8cm (3"). Leave oil to wick for about 20 minutes and re-oil any light areas until there is an even red colour on all areas.
