What exactly do spring cones do?
If the travel of your shock absorbers is longer than that of your springs – which is often the case with lift kits or special off-road suspensions – the coil springs can pop out of their upper mounts at full droop. The spring cones, also known as spring relocation cones or spring guides, are mounted at the top of the frame and ensure that the spring is guided precisely and "cleanly" back into its original position during compression. This prevents damage and ensures the consistently safe function of your suspension.
