Switches for Land Rover Defender Td4/ Td5 in various designs Whether replacing defective or missing components or custom wiring of additional electrical accessories, with our extensive selection of switches and matching covers, the original look and feel in the cockpit of Td4/Td5 Defenders is guaranteed to be retained. The soft-touch switches have an orange status LED light and identify the respective function with a backlit icon (green) in Land Rover style. The selection ranges from work lights to mirror heating and winch. Our unprinted switches are always suitable for more specialised electrical attachments and external USB devices can also be connected using built-in sockets. Connecting the 12V/3A switches to the on-board electrical system is extremely simple, as the assignment of the 4 pins is very conventional (i.e. power in: lighting, power out: earthing), unlike many OEM or aftermarket products. This means that the Land Rover connection sockets can also be dispensed with here. Exactly matching switch brackets (can be found HERE in the shop) can be combined with the switches in various configurations. Blower control for Land Rover Defender Fan and heater in classic Defenders are notoriously poor in performance and reliability – especially in northern latitudes, where cold winters and rainy days regularly impair comfort and safety in the cockpit. While Land Rover upgraded to an improved fan heater for the Td4 (MY 2007), all previous models can easily be retrofitted with an electronic control system. In contrast to the old analog fan heater, the new electronic control system allows for continuous adjustments. This ensures more efficient operation and therefore better ventilation, heating and dehumidification in the interior. Heating your vehicle’s interior can be achieved much quicker, as is demisting or de-icing of the windows. Additionally, the electronic control is much less prone to wear than the old mechanical solution using sliders and resistors, which are susceptible to shocks and vibrations. The retrofit kit includes the electronic control, a stepless slider and all the assembly parts for the connections. Installation instructions are included.
