Is the soup kitchen on fire ???? No way, since Knorr's Fire Rescue, stationed in Thayngen (Kanton Schaffhausen / Switzerland), is always there when it's needed. After his inaugural success in Germany Carl Heinrich Knorr expanded his business on July 1st, 1907 into Switzerland, repurposing an empty shoe factory. This is also where in 1912 the Bouilloncube was born, which was closely followed by the Knorr Soup Sausage. The first prepackaged soups "noodles with chicken" could be purchased in 1949 and in 1959 the lineup was further extended with flavoring options. Since 2000 the company belongs to the British-dutch Unilever-Group.
The model represents the company's fire rescue in the brand's yellow-green combination. The bonnet shows Knorr's mascot »Knorrli«, a dwarf in a red hat, wooden shoes and a wooden spoon in his hand. This mascot, designed by Hans Tomamichel, is widely known and closely associated with the brand.
