Dogs make great physics teachers. When they want us to go out and play and we have a hard time getting off the sofa, their big eyes remind us shamefully of the principle of inertia. Once out and about with them, they teach us that physical force according to Newton is mass times acceleration. In other words, the heavier the dog and the quicker the sprint when spotting canine buddies or possible prey, the harder the jolt in the leash and subsequently in joints and spines of both humans and animals.

If your dog is as energetic as sometimes impulsive, the solution might be one of our Tactical Bear shock absorber leads. Its flexible bungee segment compensates sudden jolts and thereby protects arms and shoulders in the human and the spine in the dog. Moreover, our bungee lead is hands-free and can be worn around the torso. That means if you’re walking in the cold, you can warm your fingers in your pockets and if you need your hands free for your outdoor activities, whether it’s sports or hunting for example, that’s no problem either.

The jerk absorber was designed in our tailor shop and is made of indestructible, easy-to-clean polypropylene fabric. All components are manufactured and sewn according to MIL-Spec. Including snap hooks for quick attachment to collar, chest harness or an extension, the entire jerk damper line weighs only 500 g. The chest strap is easily closed with a buckle and can be adjusted in length. In normal condition, the bungee section measures 61 cm, extended 1 m.
